I got to learn something today when at office i and some of my colleagues had a conference call with the CEO of the company i work for. The company is headquartered in Foster city,USA. So he was on phone from the US and we had to join other employees who were online from different parts of the world. It was 10 AM in the morning for us here and that means it should be 10.30PM in the Foster city area the same moment. The moment we connected to the conference call that was taking place then, our HR said a hi to our CEO and he inquired on how many in numbers were present in the room? Our HR said, near to 40 of us. His exclamation came just as our HR's reply faded as to "Where are the other 10?". What attitude!! He waited for all the people who were supposed to attend to reach the room before starting. Attitude matters.
Now take this scenario out of politics in India or say a parliament session, even if 20 out of 50 attendees were present for a session, it would have started as it should have without bothering if the rest were present or not. This is not the only place that we can expect this to happen though... There are many such instances but this is the one instance that matters the most to India as of now. There is confusion everywhere. There is confusion is setting up of SEZ, setting up of industries, Land acquisition, compensation being paid and not paid, Terror, encounter, Communal fights, Laws against terror, Flood and what not? If US economy is hit and that is the form of worry in the west (also here in the east), it's something else here in my country. Overall it's testing times ahead for a lot many people.
